Steven Maschmeyer

Steve Maschmeyer, MS, CMTPT, LMT, is the founder of Indy Myopain Relief Center and one of the nation's premier Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists. Established in 2012, Indy Myopain Relief Center remains the only clinic in the greater Indianapolis area dedicated exclusively to resolving soft-tissue pain and chronic muscle dysfunction.

Steve brings a unique, highly analytical perspective to myofascial therapy. He earned both his Bachelor of Science (1970) and Master of Science (1974) degrees in Biology from Butler University, followed by 11 years as a clinical chemist and research developer in Methodist Hospital’s pathology department. He later spent over two decades as founder and CEO of Digital Dynamics, a software development firm serving the pharmacy industry.

After experiencing a life-changing recovery from 25 years of persistent back pain through trigger point therapy, Steve dedicated his career to helping others achieve the same relief. In 2014, he graduated from Sharon Sauer’s MYO Trigger Point Seminars and earned his national certification (CMTPT), scoring the highest mark in the United States on the national board exam. He later earned a Diploma in Medical & Sports Massage with honors from Indiana Wellness College (2016) and completed advanced certifications in Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy and specialized study with Myopain Seminars.

Steve continually expands his clinical expertise alongside leading international experts in pain management. Today, he is the only therapist in the United States to hold triple certification in Trigger Point Therapy. He is an active member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists (NAMTPT), and the International Myopain Society.
